Huggins Nursery & Landscaping Service is a Family-Run Operation in North Texas
For more then 60 years the Huggins Family has been in the lawn maintenance, landscape and nursery business. As a young man from Farmers Branch, Bob Huggins, Sr. began this family tradition by providing landscaping and lawn maintenance services to local homeowners and businesses, and then expanded by opening his first garden center in Farmers Branch. In the early 1960's Bob and his wife Mary moved to Irving and opened Irving South Garen Center. They catered to the landscaping needs of DFW homeowners and businesses such as Dalmac and Center Development. This was also when he began carrying the organic based Dal Green Fertilizer 12-8-4 that is now solely distributed by the Huggins Family.
In 1975, as the growth of the metroplex expanded into suburbia, Bob and Mary moved their garden center to Lewisville, Huggins Nursery & Plant Center, where their son Bob Huggins, Jr. began working for Huggins Nursery and learning the landscaping and garden center business from his parents at Huggins Nursery. The Huggins Family name & Huggins Nursey became synonumus with expertise and product quality and gave way to a large loyal customer base. In 1995, Bob, Sr. and Mary again decided to move their garden center with the developing Metroplex and opened Huggins Nursery in Flower Mound, In 2002 Bob Huggins Jr's daughter Christina Huggins Pallitto came to work for Huggins Nursery, and learned from her family to carry on this Family tradition at Huggins Nursery. In 2005 Bob Jr. decided to expand on his landscaping knowledge and obtained his sprinkler licence and began his own sprinkler business known as Huggins Landscaping &, Sprinklers, Inc.
In 2010 Bob, Sr retired from Huggins Nursery & the Nursery Industry, but his family still continues on the Huggins Nursery legacy. Christina Huggins Pallitto works for Garden Ridge Farmers Market and Garden Center, 2999 S. Stemmons Frwy,, Lewisville, TX 75067 (972)317-2508, where they carry the same products as Huggins Nursery did, including the Dial Green Fertilizer 12-8-4. Bob, Jr. continues to operate Huggins Landscaping and Sprinkles, Inc., offering landscapaing, lawn maiantenance, sprinkler needs & tree & shrubs for the DFW Metroplex.
